Salmon Dashi Chazuke (rice in dashi soup)

This is a salmon dashi chazuke that you can quickly make with things you have at home.
It’s a simple meal that is good for your body and mind, allowing you to enjoy the flavor and aroma of dashi.

INGREDIENTS for Dashi Chazuke: 1 serving

  • 100g cooked rice
  • 1 dashi bag
  • 2 tbsp salmon flakes
  • 1 scallion
  • 1/2 tbsp shredded nori seaweed
  • 1/2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds (white)

INSTRUCTIONS for Dashi Chazuke

STEP
Make Dashi
  • Put 400ml of water and 1 bag of dashi bag into a pot and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 4 minutes. Turn off the heat and remove the dashi bag.
STEP
Make Dashi Chazuke
  • Cut the scallion into small pieces.
  • Place warm cooked rice in a bowl and top with salmon flakes and scallions. Pour hot dashi soup over it and sprinkle with  shredded nori seaweed and roasted sesame seeds.
PRESERVATION

・Leftover dashi soup can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 days.
